Central Park Conservatory Water

About the Class

Quick, get your sketchbook! The cherry trees are in bloom. To kick off our first meetup of 2025, we'll visit a lesser-known but tranquil corner of Central Park: The Conservatory Water. As a backup plan, we'll walk to The Met (about 5m away) in case of rain. What: An informal urban sketching session bookended by show-and-tell conversations When: Saturday, April 12 from 2:30 - 5:30 PM Where: We'll meet at the Model Sailboat Rental booth on the East side of the pond. Who: Everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level. Feel free to bring friends. How to prepare: Please RSVP so we can send you updates in case of poor weather. Bring your own drawing materials and a sketchbook. We also recommend packing a lunch, water, and extra warm layer so you can work comfortably. If you're looking for an introductory lesson, check out Intro to Urban Sketching, which takes place at noon on the same day in Grand Central Terminal. And if you want to fully dive in and learn as much as possible this spring, check out Zero to Sixty Sketchbook School, which starts April 08, 2025. We'll see you there!

Cancellation Policy

Classes are non-refundable, however, we can help you reschedule to a better time if you can’t make it. Sketchbook Sessions are free, unstructured meetups. We only ask people register out of courtesy so we can communicate updates.
