Part German, part French, the top-heavy, half-timbered homes are a quintessential part of the Alsace region near the border of the two countries. Having an immediate love for these Dr. Seuss-like structures, I drew this sketch in Braubach, Germany, which is a mile walk downhill from the famous Marksburg Castle.
