About the Class

Draw your best life–starting now! Too often, we're led to believe drawing is a rare talent that takes forever to learn. That's simply not true! In just one afternoon, we'll cover three key exercises on observation, spatial relationships, and composition so that you can feel confident drawing anything anywhere. Say goodbye to the days you open your sketchbook to a blank page and feel overwhelmed. As a self-taught artist, I know what that's like, so I designed this session so you can easily replicate it in other locations and know exactly what to do. As with any true drawing class, our materials are simple. A pen and some computer paper or a sketchbook is all you need. While we will also assemble a still life to draw from, you can use any items around the house. Class structure: - Class typically starts on Saturday at 4 PM EST (Please check your time zone!) - Discuss how we can rethink the way we draw and learn how to draw - 3 Exercises on observational drawing, spatial relationships, and composition - One final drawing (30 minutes) - Discussion about how to practice with one final assignment to complete and submit later.
